Wall Street Mostly Lower in Early Trades

The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) rose in early Tuesday trade, after closing mostly lower in the first session of the week. Positive earnings reports and anticipation for passing a massive infrastructure spending bill by Congress are providing support for Wall Street, despite concerns about the Coronavirus Delta variant.

Strong gains by Dow Inc. and Goldman Sachs are contributing to the rise of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, currently higher for the day by 141.41 points, or 0.41%, at 35,244.20 points.

The S&P 500 index is up by 10.27 points, or 0.23%, at 4,442.76 points, while the Nasdaq Composite is down by 0.24% at 14,825.62 points after solely finishing higher on Monday.
