The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closed higher on Monday, starting the week with huge gains amid improved investors sentiment amid anticipation for a new stimulus package in the United States.
Energy, tech, and banks stocks led the gains on the first session of the week supporting the rise of Wall Street.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished higher by 410.10 points, or 1.51%, at 27,584.06 points.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index added 53.14 points, or 1.61%, to close at the level of 3,351.60 points.
The Nasdaq Composite surged by 204.81 points, or 1.88%, and settled at 11,118.38 points.
