The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished lower on Monday, starting the week with a negative performance as Wall Street investors turn to their focus to the upcoming earnings reports from listed companies.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower by 55.20 points, or 0.16%, at 33,745.40 points.
The S&P 500 slipped marginally by 0.81 points, or 0.02%, to finish nearly unchanged at 4,127.99 points.
Both of the benchmark indices ended a three-day rising streak.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite declined by 50.2 points, or 0.36%, at 13,850 points.
