U.S. Home Sales Decline in April for Third Straight Month

Home sales in the United States continued to decline during April for the third consecutive month, data showed on Friday.

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) existing home sales fell by 2.7% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.85 million units last month.

Meanwhile, home sales rose by 33.9% on an annual basis, which is mainly due to the huge drop in sales in April 2020, amid the onset of the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
