NYSE Indices End the Week in Losses

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closed Friday on a lower note, with the main indices ending the week with the biggest losses since the end of October.

Weak economic data prompted concerns about the state of the economy, which still struggles with the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 177.26 points, or 0.6%, to close at 30,814.26 points, losing 0.9% for the week.

The S&P 500 index declined by 27.29 points, or 0.7%, to finish at 3,768.25 points, ending the week on a 1.5% decline.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite closed lower by 114.14 points, or 0.9%, at 12,998.50 points, registering a weekly decline of 1.5%.
