The Dow Jones Industrial Average marginally rose by 2.27 points and closed at 27,995.60
The S&P 500 index added 17.66 points, or 0.5%, and finished at 3,401.20 points, maintaining its rising trend for the third consecutive session.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite settled higher by 133.67 points, or 1.2%, at 11,190.32 points.
