Wall Street Mixed Following Inflation Data

The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) that all logged new record highs by the end of the week’s first session are showing a mixed performance on Tuesday, with Wall Street reacting to the release of inflation data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is marginally down by about 17 points, or 0.06%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up by 0.16% and 0.46%, respectively.

Earlier, data by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) surged 5.4% in June, exceeding most market expectations.
