Wall Street Register Third Straight Weekly Gain

The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) rebounded on Friday, turning to a third consecutive weekly rise after recent declines, which were mostly due to concerns among Wall Street investors about recovery from the pandemic and the mixed economic data.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 448.23 points, or 1.3%, to finish at 34,870.16 points, adding 0.2% for the week

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index rose by 48.73 points, or 1.13%, to close at about 4,370 points, while the Nasdaq Composite leveled up by 142.13 points, or 0.98%, with both indices gaining 0.4% each on a weekly basis, logging new record highs.
