The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note, failing to maintain its earlier gains that came on the back of positive expectations in Wall Street due to the release of positive economic data.
Positive reading of the ISM manufacturing sector’s PMI helped technology stocks and other sectors achieve some gains, but a rise in Treasury bond yields impacted the market on the first day of June.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 45.86, or 0.13%, to close at 34,575.31 points.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite Indices marginally slipped by 0.05%, and 0.09%, respectively.
