Amazon Says it Has Reached an Agreement to Acquire MGM For $ 8.45 Billion

Amazon said it reached a deal to acquire MGM for $ 8.45 billion, to support the company’s efforts to cement its position in the entertainment and internet streaming sector.

The deal is the largest since Amazon acquired Whole Food in 2017 for $ 13.7 billion.
