Wall Street Closes Lower as Inflation Fears Persist

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished lower on Tuesday, as Wall Street continues to be impacted by investors’ concerns about the high inflation rates.

The decline came despite the positive earnings reports by some blue-chip stocks, including Home Depot and Walmart.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 267.13 points, or 0.78%, to close at 34,060.66 points.

The S&P 500 index, finished at 4,127.83 points, losing 35.46 points, or 0.85%.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index plunged by 75.41 points, or 0.56%, to end the session at 13,303.64 points.
