Wall Street Finishes Week With Marginal Gains

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished the week with marginal gains, supported by an improvement in investors’ sentiment after data showed an increase in retail sales in the United States.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 112.11 points, or 0.39%, to close at 28,606.31, rising by about 0.1% for the week.

The S&P 500 index finished higher by 0.47 points, or 0.01%, to log a weekly rise of 0.2%.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index closed lower for the day by 0.36% at 11,671.56, adding 0.8% for the week.
