US To Start Russian Oil Ban Without Allies

The Biden administration is willing to move ahead to execute a ban on Russian oil imports to the US without the participation of European allies.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the UK and Japan’s potential participation with the US in a Russian oil import ban is still a “live discussion”.

Earlier in the day, UK PM Boris Johnson had not come across too keen on the idea of a blanket ban on Russian energy imports.
