Home sales in the United States rose to their highest level in 14 years during the month of September, data by the National Association of Realtors showed on Thursday.
Existing home sales surged by 9.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6.54 million units last month, its highest level since May 2006.
Meanwhile, the August reading was revised to 5.98 million units from an estimated 6 million units.
