Ukraine’s Zelenskyy: Putin did not respond to phone request

“Today, Putin did not respond to a request for a phone call,” said Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during early Thursday morning in Asia.

Ukraine President Zelenskyy warned that Russia’s move could escalate tensions while also saying, “Ukraine is not a threat to Russia.”

During late Wednesday, Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmtryo Kuleba also requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

The news adds to the market’s risk-off mood and weigh on the AUD/USD prices, considered risk-barometer in Asia.
