Data released on Wednesday showed that Turkey’s unemployment rate fell to 11.5 percent in September from 11.8 percent the previous month, while the seasonally adjusted disguised unemployment rose to 21.9 percent from 21.7 percent.
Disguised unemployment rose at the beginning of the year, approaching its peak at the time of the peak of the closure to combat the spread of Covid-19 disease in May 2020.
Turkish Statistical Institute data also showed labor force participation rising 0.5 percentage points from the previous month to 51.7 percent in September.
