Spain: Inflation Rate at Its Highest in Two And a Half Years

Consumer prices in Spain rose 2.2% in April 2021 compared to last year, this is the largest increase since October 2018 and in line with preliminary estimates.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 1.2%, the largest increase since April 2012, and matched previous estimates.

The Harmonized Index of inflation advanced by 2%, after rising by 1.2% in March and slightly above the initial reading of 1.9%.
