The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged by 0.69% to close at 27,930.33, nearly unchanged compared with its level by the end of last week.

The S&P 500 index increased by 0.34% and closed at a new record at 3,397.16, registering weekly gains of 0.7%.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite settled higher by 0.42% or 46.85 points at its 36th all-time record this year at 11,311.8, adding 2.7% for the week.
