NYSE Closes Lower as Treasury Yields Rebound

The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closed Tuesday lower, due to the rise in the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury bond yield to about 1.65%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 96.95 points, or 0.29%, to close at 33,430.24 points.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index fell by 3.97 points, or 0.10%, to finish at 4,073.94 points, after hitting a record intraday high earlier in the session.

The Nasdaq Composite Index slipped 7.21 points, or 0.05%, settling at the level of 13,698.38 points.
