Nikkei rises 0.35% at the beginning of trading in Tokyo

The Nikkei average rose in early trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The Nikkei rose 0.35 percent to 24,876.49 points, while the broader Topix index rose 0.37 percent to 1,766.43 points.
