Italy Lifts Quarantine Restrictions For Those Coming From Europe, Britain, And Other Countries

The Italian Ministry of Health said that the country will lift quarantine restrictions for travelers from countries of the European Union, the Schengen area, Britain and Israel, starting May 16.

Currently, those coming from these countries are subject to a five-day quarantine, with an obligation to undergo an examination before arrival and at the end of the isolation period.

The ministry said in a statement that arrivals must still provide evidence that they have tested negative for Covid-19 before heading to Italy.

She added that the restrictions currently imposed for people arriving from Brazil would remain in place.
