A survey reported that investor sentiment in the Eurozone rose more than expected in December, reaching its highest level since February, supporting expectations for an economic recovery thanks to the near availability of vaccines.
Sentex Eurozone index rose to -2.7 from -10.0 in November. A Reuters poll had forecast a reading of -8.3.
The outlook index rose to 29.3 from 15.3, reaching its highest level since April 2015 on the back of expectations that coronavirus vaccines will help support growth.
The investor evaluation index for the status quo rose to -30.3 from -32.3, reaching its highest level since March. Sentex polled 1112 investors from December 3rd to 5th.
