Social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, will impose a suspension on the official accounts of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for at least two weeks, until the end of his presidency term, the CEO of Facebook Inc. Mark Zuckerberg revealed.
This comes after Facebook and Instagram, as well as Twitter and SnapChat, announced a ban on Trump’s account for 24 hours on Wednesday, after Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol.
“We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great,” said Zuckerberg.
