European stocks surged to a new all-time high on Thursday, supported by an improved risk sentiment among investors that resulted from positive economic data and earnings reports.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose by 2.34 points, or 0.54%, to close at a new all-time high of 438.91 points.
The mining sector led the gains, adding 1.5%.
Meanwhile, the French CAC40 and the German DAX indices finished higher by 0.41% and 0.30%.
In the UK, the FTSE100 index ended the session higher by 0.63%.
