European stocks rose on Monday, to begin the new week with a positive performance, hitting a new all-time record high.
The STOXX Europe 600 index added 0.22% and finished at 453.56 points.
Strong gains by the auto sector, which reached its best level since March 2015, provided support for the pan-European index.
The French CAC40 index finished higher by 0.43%, while the German DAX index decreased by 0.10%.
Meanwhile, the UK’s FTSE100 index leveled up by 0.12%.
Similarly, Spain’s IBEX 35 index closed higher by 0.83%.
