European stocks declined on Wednesday, amid reduced risk appetite among investors in anticipation of the United States Federal Reserve policy decision.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell by 1.20%, with the telecom sector leading the decline and falling by 2.9%.
The French CAC40 plummeted by 1.29%, while the German DAX dropped by 1.76%.
Meanwhile, the UK’s FTSE100 declined by 1.41%.
