Bitcoin hit a record $ 28,599.99 on Wednesday, December 30, bringing its gains this year to more than 295%.

And the most popular cryptocurrency in the world rose in recent transactions 3.5% to $ 28,349.

Since it broke the $ 20,000 level for the first time on Dec. 16, it has nearly halved.
