BoE leaves interest rate unchanged

The Bank of England (BoE) announced on Thursday that it has decided to leave the policy rate unchanged at 5.25%, in line with market expectations.

Policymakers voted 6-3 in favor of the decision, with three members of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) – Megan Greene, Jonathan Haskel, and Catherine Mann – casting votes in favor of raising the policy rate by 25 basis points at the meeting.
