US shares remarkably surged Wednesday, on what proved to be an all-around great trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index SPX rising 0.31% to 4,701.21 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA rising 0.10% to 35,754.75.
This was the stock’s third consecutive day of gains. Principal Financial Group Inc. closed $2.68 below its 52-week high ($74.30), which the company achieved on November 24th. The stock outperformed some of its competitors.
Shares of Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. PLAY advanced 8.64% to $35.96 with the NASDAQ Composite Index COMP rising 0.64% to 15,786.99. The stock outperformed some of its competitors as well.
Shares of Fox Corp. Cl A FOXA inched 0.74% higher to $36.75 and Walt Disney Co. DIS rose 1.68% to $153.34.
