Dow Futures Surge as Tesla Impacted by Elon Musk’s Tweet

Dow Jones futures were higher early Tuesday after the stock market rally hit record levels yesterday.

Tesla stock surged to more all-time highs. And Mosaic, NXP Semiconductor and ZoomInfo were three earnings movers after the close.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up 0.3%. The S&P 500 rose 0.2%, while the Nasdaq led the way, rising 0.6%.

Among the Dow Jones leaders, Apple declined by 0.6%, while Microsoft lost 0.7% in today’s stock market. American Express, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase continue to trade near new buy points in the current rally.

Tesla surged, on Monday, 8.5% to hit more record highs. Among companies reporting earnings, Mosaic, NXP Semiconductor and ZoomInfo reported earnings after the close Monday.

Tesla stock slid, Tuesday, over 5% premarket Tuesday after CEO Elon Musk tweeted that no contract with Hertz has been signed yet to provide 100,000 vehicles by the end of 2022.
