Market Drivers – European Session 01-11-2021

The European session on Monday was quiet and generally flat.

Just a moment ago, the Manufacturing PMI came out and came in negative; Were it scored 58.4 points, analyst expected it to score 59.2 points.

Gold is now recording 1789.39, an increase of 0.34%, and gold contracts are recording 1790.35, an increase of 0.36%.

The US dollar index was marginally lower, recording 94.08 against a basket of foreign currencies, while US Treasuries rose by 2.8% to 1,600.

Turkey’s trade deficit narrowed 39% year-on-year to $1.46 billion in October, the Turkish Ministry of Trade said.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 and Nasdaq indexes opened at record highs on Monday, led by gains in Tesla and energy stocks at the start of a week packed with economic data, as well as a possible Federal Reserve move to slow bond purchases.
