Britain’s Economy Grows Stronger Than Expected in Q2

Official data revealed that Britain’s economy grew at a more robust pace than previously expected in the period between April and June.

The Office for National Statistics said gross domestic product increased 5.5 percent in the second quarter, compared with its initial estimate of 4.8 percent growth.

The office said the data was revised to take into account more complete data from the health sector, as well as an update of its sources and methodology for calculating British economic output.
