U. S. Agencies asked to get prepared for potential shutdown

The White House told government agencies to prepare for a potential government shutdown if a temporary solution bill is not passed as a new law before 30 September.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during a briefing on Thursday that Biden’s administration is taking all possible steps to mitigate the impacts of a potential shutdown.
No formal guidance has been issued yet, but the U. S. is seven days prior to having to be prepared, in any event of any contingency.
The Congress is in a mad dash to beat multiple deadlines for a number of legislative priorities, such as the passage of the stopgap funding bill to avert the shutdown of government agencies.
The Congress is also looking at disaster aid for storms and wildfires, and extra money to assist Afghan evacuees while Democrats look to pass the infrastructure bill and a sweeping multitrillion-dollar package of social spending and tax priorities.
