France Fines Google 500 Million Euros For Intellectual Property Rights

France’s antitrust watchdog has fined Google 500 million euros ($593 million) for failing to fully comply with interim orders in a dispute with news publishers in France.

The US tech giant must come up with suggestions within the next two months on how to compensate news organizations and other publishers for their use of their news. If not comply, it will be subject to additional fines of up to 900,000 euros per day.

Google was very disappointed with this decision.
