Sentix: Investor Confidence Improves Thanks to Services Sector

A survey showed that investor confidence in the eurozone increased for the fifth consecutive month in July, to its highest level since February 2018, thanks to the reopening of restaurants and retail stores, as well as tourism, with the decline in Covid-19 infections.

The Sentix index for the eurozone rose to 29.8 from 28.1 in June. A Reuters poll indicated a reading at 30.0.

The current conditions index rose to 29.8 from 21.3, while the expectations index fell to 29.8 from 35.3.

Sentix surveyed 1,114 investors from July 1 to 3.
