European Stocks Rise for Third Week in Row

European stocks rose on Friday, extending their gains for the third consecutive week, amid improved investors’ sentiment that was supported by positive earnings reports by leading listed companies and positive economic data that fueled hopes for recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic.

The STOXX Europe 600 index finished higher by 0.5%, with most market sectors closing in gains led by basis resources, leading the pan-European index to a small weekly rise.

The German index DAX rose by 0.77%, while the French CAC40 finished higher by 0.79%.

Meanwhile, the UK’s FTSE100 settled higher by 0.10%.
