UK Prime Minister Imposes Harsh Lockdown as New Covid-19 Variant Spreads

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new general isolation in England on Monday, January 4, and instructed citizens to stay home to contain the most contagious strain of the Coronavirus.

“It is clear that we need to do more to bring this new variant under control,” Johnson said. “That means the government is once again instructing you to stay at home.” he added.
