European Stocks End 2020 in Red

European stocks closed lower on Thursday, the last trading session of the year 2020 that was dominated by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The STOXX Europe 600 index declined by 0.14% after a short trading session ahead of the New Year’s Holiday.

The annual losses of the pan-European index have reached 3.8%.

Meanwhile, the UKS’s FTSE100 finished lower by around 1.5% to end its worst year since 2008.

On an annual basis, the French index CAC40 decreased by 7%, while the German DAX fell by 3.5%.

The Italian FTSE MIB lost 5.4%, while the Spanish index IBEX dropped by 15%.
