The unemployment rate in Turkey fell to 10.3% last June from 10.9% in May, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute today, Wednesday, August 10.
Data on Wednesday showed that the Turkish unemployment rate fell 0.3% in June compared to the same month last year.
The number of unemployed people in June reached 3.5 million people.
Turkey is currently suffering from a significant rise in annual inflation, which recorded 79.6% during July.
And last March, Turkey extended the ban on laying off employees for two months, starting from March 17, under a presidential decree.
The ban was imposed last year to limit the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on employment and the economy in general.
