The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished mostly higher on Monday with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq indices finishing at new record highs, while the Dow declined.
Technology companies showed a positive performance with Facebook exceeding a valuation of $1 trillion for the first time, following the dismissal of an antitrust lawsuit against the social media giant.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 150.57 points, or 0.44%, and closed at 34,283.27 points.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index added 9.91 points, or 0.23%, to finish at a record 4,290.6 points.
The Nasdaq Composite index also rose by 140 points and ended the session at a new record high of 14,500.51 points.
