The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished higher on Thursday, with the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices logging new record highs for the third consecutive sessions for the first time since mid-March.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 14.88 points, or 0.04%, to close at an all-time high of 35,499.85 points.
The S&P 500 gained 13.13 points, or 0.30%, to finish at a record 4,460.83 points.
The Nasdaq Composite index closed higher at 51.13 points, or 0.35%, at 14,816.26 points.
Earlier, data showed that initial jobless claims declined to 375,000 last week, while the U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) increased 7.8% last month from 7.3% in June.
