European stocks finished Monday on a mixed note, opening the week with a fluctuating performance, as the markets witnessed hopes for recovery, as well as fears regarding a rise in inflation rates.
The STOXX Europe 600 index closed higher by 0.11% at a new all-time record of 445.40 points.
In France, the benchmark CAC40 index closed marginally higher by less than half a point, or 0.1%.
The German DAX finished nearly unchanged, while the UK’s FTSE100 slipped by 0.08% to close marginally lower.
