The main indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closed higher on Thursday due to an improved investors’ sentiment and risk appetite in Wall Street and around the globe, after the release of positive economic data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at an all-time high, closing above 34,000 points for the very first time, after gaining 305.10, or 0.90%, to close at 34,035.99 points.
The S&P 500 gained 45.76 points, or 1.11%, to end the session at another record closing level of 4,170.42 points.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index settled at 14,038.76 points, rising by 180.92 points, or 1.31%.
