The benchmark indices of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closed higher on Thursday, with the Dow and S&P ending the session at all-time highs, as Wall Street investors reacted positively to inflation data that eased worries about a possible reflation due to the increase in stimulus spending.
Positive jobs data also improved risk sentiment by improving expectations for recovery from the economic impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Large gains by tech giants also helped Nasdaq return to gains, after declining on Wednesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 188.57 points, or 0.58%, to finish at 32,485.59 points.
The S&P 500 added 40.53 points, or 1.04%, and closed at 3,939.34 points.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 329.84 points, or 2.52%, to end the session at 13,398.67 points.
