Wall Street Marginally Lower but Higher for Month

The main indices of Wall Street closed marginally lower on Tuesday with anticipation for major economic data, but finished higher for the month

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 39.11 or 0.11% to close August at 35,360.73, higher by 1.2%.

The S&P 500 decreased by 6.11, or 0.13%, to end at 4,522.68 points, higher for the month by 2.9%, while the Nasdaq Composite was marginally lower by 0.04% at 15,259.24 points, rising by 4% for the month. The two indices maintained a rising trend for the sevenths and fourth months.
