The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) maintained its positive performance on Thursday, supported by positive financial results disclosed by a number of leading listed companies, as well as a positive sentiment in Wall Street regarding economic recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 332.2 points, or 1.08%, to close at the level of 31,055.86 points.
The S&P 500 index rose by 41.57 points, or 1.09%, to new at a new record high at 3,871.74 points.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 167.20 points, or 1.23%, and finished at 13,777.74 points.
The stock market was supported by positive economic data that showed a decline in jobless claims in the United States, as well as a rise in factory orders.
