Wall Street Finishes Mixed on Monday

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) showed a mixed performance on Monday, as Wall Street anticipates a slew of economic data and events this week, led by the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 61.92 points, or 0.2%, to close at 33,981.57 points.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index edged higher to a new record high amid anticipation for positive earnings reports. The index gained 0.2% and finished at 4,187.62 points.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite index added 0.9% to settle at 14,138.78 points, scoring a new record closing high for the first time since February 12.
