The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) finished mostly lower on Tuesday with Wall Street investors shifting their focus towards the outcomes of the U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended an upward trend that lasted for seven sessions including four consecutive record closing levels until yesterday, and declined by 127.5 points, or 0.39%, to finish at 32,825.95 points.
The S&P 500 closed lower by 6.23 points, or 0.16%, at 3,962.71 points.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose marginally by 11.86 points, or 0.09%, and settled by the end of the session 13,471.57 points.
