Stock futures fell in early trading on Thursday after the blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average regained its highest level in the previous session amid strong corporate earnings, Dow futures fell 104 points or 0.2%, and S&P 500 futures fell By 0.2%, the Nasdaq 100 futures contract lost 0.2%.
IBM shares lost more than 5% in pre-market trading after a revenue loss in the third quarter, the two largest business sectors — global services and the cloud software business — didn’t live up to estimates, and Tesla shares fell 1%. In pre-market trading even after the electric car maker posted record profits and revenue in the third quarter, it beat expectations.
