US Consumer Confidence Declines in December

Consumer confidence in the United States declined for the second month in a raw in December, reaching its lowest level since August, amid a new wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The consumer confidence index plunged to 88.6 in December from a revised reading of 92.9 in November, according to data by the Conference Board on Tuesday.

It is worth noting that prior to the novel virus outbreak the index reached 132.6 in February.
